Sharing expert voices in food and hospitality

Why We Feature Guest Contributors

Excellence in Business believes the best insights come from diverse voices within the industry. We regularly feature guest contributions from experienced restaurateurs, chefs, beverage experts, and hospitality professionals who have unique perspectives to share. Whether you’re documenting emerging trends, sharing operational wisdom, or celebrating excellence in your community, a guest post gives your voice access to our engaged readership of industry insiders and decision-makers.

Guest posts are not promotional vehicles. They are substantive contributions that educate, challenge thinking, or shine light on important industry dynamics. Our editorial standards remain consistent whether content is written in-house or contributed by a guest.

What We’re Looking For

Depth over opinion. We publish posts that explore topics thoroughly—not brief takes or promotional pieces. Your article should educate readers and respect their intelligence.

Industry expertise. You should bring credible experience or research to your topic. This might be hands-on operational knowledge, years of professional practice, documented research, or recognized expertise in your field.

Clear, engaging writing. Your contribution should be readable, well-organized, and free of jargon unless absolutely necessary. We value writers who can explain complex ideas simply.

Unique perspective. What do you know or see that most writers don’t? We’re interested in posts that bring original thinking, local insights, or underexplored angles on industry challenges and opportunities.

How to Submit

Format & Length

Submit posts between 1,500 and 3,500 words. Include a short author bio (50 words maximum) and headshot photo (optional but encouraged). Write in a clear, accessible style—we’ll handle light copyediting, but we don’t rewrite submissions substantially. Include relevant links, but avoid excessive self-promotion or commercial links.

Timeline

We review submissions on a rolling basis and respond within 5-10 business days. Accepted posts are typically published within 2-4 weeks of final approval, depending on our editorial calendar. We publish one guest post approximately every two weeks.

Rights & Compensation

We publish guest posts under a Creative Commons license that allows you to republish your work elsewhere after 30 days. We don’t offer payment, but we provide a significant platform, editorial support, and exposure to a professional audience. You retain full authorship and can promote your piece across your own channels.
